Android or Windows Mobile: which is smarter to enjoy DVD and Video on your LG phone?

With the competition of mobile market becoming more and more intense, most of big mobile phone companies constantly introduce new products. After Motorola’s Droid, Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X3 and Samsung Galaxy I7500, LG Company finally announced its first Android mobile phone – GW620 and the GM730e using the latest Windows Mobile operating system. This GW620 mobile phone has been launched in Canada, and renamed LG Eve. Basically an evolution of LG’s QWERTY messaging phones, the GW620 looks a little bit like a slimmed down version of Motorola’s Dext phone, with similar functionality too. Compare with other smart phones, the GM730e with six lively and lovely intelligent elves will be formally listed. So the netizens are full curious with the six cute “elves” and expectative in this LG GM730e coming. Now I have a simple summary about them. Hope it could provide some useful information to LG mobile lovers.

GW620
The phone is slim to hold in the hand, with a full slide out QWERTY keyboard. A 5MP camera sits on the back (with single LED flash), with the unit coming in with dimensions of 106 x 55 x 12 mm and 3-inch screen. Behind the slide out section, there’s an opening for a microSD card, and the up/down rocker switch too, with the microUSB and camera shutter buttons hidden around the edge for good measure too. It fits nicely in the hand when in portrait mode – but the bad news is the screen is only resistive, meaning that scrolling and tapping our way through was a lot less intuitive that other Android phones.
Button wise – with a menu, back and terminate button the only options to play with. The interface is an odd fusion between LG’s S-Class and the vanilla Android system. The same S-Class options are employed on the front home screen as well – instead of scrolling left and right to access new screens, you now get that ’spinning’ cube interface for each new set of icons, which is a little cumbersome. Another nice touch is the presence of Facebook and Twitter baked right into the handset – send messages from your social networks right from the phone, something that’s becoming increasingly popular on today’s handsets (especially those based on Android).
Media is laid out in a similar way to Motorola’s Dext phone as well – in fact it’s identical, so we’re wondering if this is some kind of interface buried deep within Android that only Motorola and LG have managed to unearth.

GM730e
GM 730e unlike traditional smart phone inflexible and complicated, it is more convenient and interesting. But bringing this revolutionary change lies in its S-Class 3D user interface of LG originate. Its relationship with Windows Mobile operating system is equivalent to the “skin” and “muscles”. With the help of S-Class 3D interface, the function of Windows Mobile operating system is strong and optimization, even without any operating experience of the users can quickly learn to use. Easily dissolve the problem like the initial users “I don’t know how to delete the messages”.
As a revolutionary product, GM730e appearance is so stylized and conspicuous. Its fuselage size is 109.8 x 56.5 x 11.9 mm, airframe small and thin, extremely fashionable feeling. 3 inches WQVGA resolution (240 * 400 pixels) screen, giving users’ larger space, while LG also increased S-Class 3D interface Windows Mobile system menu name, promoted the accuracy of the fingers. In order to allow users to feel better convenience of GM730e experience and let S-Class 3D interface with Windows Mobile fusion more perfect, LG for GM730e made excellent hardware platform, the central processor of 528 MHZ supports accelerated 3D graphics functions, not only make 3D interface more fluent, but also maintain the speed of multitasking quick reaction. Windows Mobile system itself entertainment function is strong enough, but GM730e also equipped with 500 million pixels and high-definition camera, support auto-focus and shooting night function etc. It also provides GPS navigation software, built-in national maps and various kinds of travel interest, bringing convenient and reliable positioning navigation and experience for customers.

Both are good mobile phone. In this era of music and movie popular, people not only care phone’s hardware, but also has more attention on its multimedia function. Both new LG phones have a 5MP camera to be able to shoot video! It supports single LED flash, auto-focus, auto-white balance and auto-exposure, build-in media player. But they are different in supporting video and audio formats. GW620, support video format: WMV?MPEG4?H.264?ASF and 3GP, etc and audio format: MP3?AAC?WMA?WAV, etc. And GM730e, support video format: MP4?WMV and 3GP, etc and audio format: MP3?AAC?AAC+?E-AAC+?AMR?WMA and WAV, etc. If you haven’t MP4 or WMV videos on your computer, you may use Nidesoft DVD to LG Converter to convert DVD files into LG compatible formats or use Nidesoft LG video converter to convert all other video files into LG, just follow the step by step guide.
Step 1: Install and run Nidesoft LG Video Converter. Click “Add File” button to import your video from your computer.

Step 2: Click the “Format” drop-down list to select the right format for your Sony player.
Step 3: Click the “Convert” button and start the conversion. The conversion will be finished in a short time and then you may enjoy videos.
In addition to the above model, both software could also support various types of LG phones such as: LG KP500, LG GT540, LG KF740, LG GD510, and LG GD510, LG KC910,etc. It is not hard to think that both are essential auxiliary software to LG mobile phone users.

With the development of technology, these mobile phone hardware and software developed quickly. It’s important that Android is to go from geeky to mainstream. This has greatly improved our life. Enjoy music anytime and anywhere makes our life more colorful and wonderful. Let’s just enjoy our lives, enjoy our days!

Upgrade your HTC Windows Mobile phone to Windows Mobile 6.5!

This item was filled under [ Windows Mobile ]

HTC have announced that they plan on letting users of the three most recent WinMo phones upgrade to version 6.5 when it comes out. Let’s check out the three phones the upgrade will be available for.

HTC Touch Diamond2

The HTC Touch Diamond2 actually does a very good job of making it so you don’t have to go into standard Windows menus that often, as on top of the operating system, the interface is HTC’s patented TouchFLO 3D setup, where everything is achieved through various finger swipes and sweeping gestures. It is truly intuitive, and it’s the reason why the HTC Touch Diamond2 is such an unmitigated joy to use. Of course, it’s not all about being pretty, a phone needs to have decent features and the HTC Touch Diamond2 has them in spades, from the 5 megapixel camera, through GPS, to incredibly fast HSDPA internet access (not to mention the superb Opera Mobile web browser). To many, the HTC Touch Diamond2 is the ultimate Windows Mobile phone and it’s only set to get better when it becomes upgradable to Windows Mobile 6.5.

HTC Touch Pro2

Next up is the HTC Touch Pro2, and here, you get the added benefit of a QWERTY keyboard. However, like the previous TyTN II, with the HTC Touch Pro2, you can also tilt the screen up after sliding it open, putting it at a more natural viewing angle. In terms of other hardware, the HTC Touch Pro2 also gives you a 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA internet access (as well as WiFi), and GPS, putting it right up there in the top echelon of mobile phones. Software-wise, the HTC Touch Pro2 is powered by Windows Mobile, but, like an increasing number of Windows Mobile phones, it uses a proprietary interface on top (TouchFLO 3D, again, as with the Touch Diamond2), that takes the power of Windows Mobile, and makes it user-friendly. All in all, the HTC Touch Pro2 is one incredible mobile phone.

HTC Snap

So, both the HTC Touch Diamond2 and the QWERTY-enabled HTC Touch Pro2 will be upgradable to Windows Mobile 6.5 when it gets released. But HTC aren’t stopping there; they’re also letting non-touchscreen users upgrade, if they have the email-centric HTC Snap. Anyone who’s used Windows Mobile before will know it’s exceptionally good at emails and info management, and the HTC Snap is no exception to that rule. You get the same excellent POP3 and Exchange Server (for your corporate emails) support, but the HTC Snap also includes something new: Inner Circle. This is a new feature for the HTC Snap, that lets you set an Inner Circle of friends or important people, and automatically prioritises emails from them, to make sure you get the emails that matter the most, first.

At Long Last, Windows Mobile 6.5 Is Here!

This item was filled under [ Windows Mobile ]

Windows Mobile 6.5 is finally here, and it takes WinMo phones to new, unbelievable heights. Even existing phones are getting in on the act, so let’s check out the big three that will now run Windows Mobile 6.5.

To many, the HTC Touch Diamond2 is the ultimate Windows Mobile phone. The HTC Touch Diamond2 will be upgradable to Windows Mobile 6.5 through an official HTC software update.

HTC Touch Pro2

The HTC Touch Pro2 brings Windows Mobile to the party, and it really is a joy to use, and just like the HTC Touch Diamond2, it’s optimised for touch controls. Or, in other words, you press the screen on the HTC Touch Pro2 with a finger, not a dibber (well, ok, a stylus, but dibber sounds better, to me). Specs-wise, it’s no slouch, either, with 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA, WiFi, built-in GPS and a frankly brilliant slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It truly is a gorgeous mobile phone, and I’ll be frank, it’s hard to think of any other Windows Mobile phone coming close to it. The HTC Touch Pro2 will be upgradable to Windows Mobile 6.5 through an official HTC software update.

Toshiba TG01

So, there’s the HTC Touch Diamond2, which has beautiful looks, and there’s the HTC Touch Pro2, which adds in a QWERTY keyboard. But finally, there’s the fastest Windows Mobile phone yet released, the Toshiba TG01, which comes with an unbelievable 4.1 inch screen. That huge screen and the ludicrously fast 1GHz ‘Snapdragon’ processor give Windows a whole new lease of life, removing any of the ‘clunkiness’ Windows phones of long ago may have had. In the case of the Toshiba TG01, Windows Mobile is allied to a brand new, 3D interface, with a series of 3 revolving strips that contain all your apps and shortcuts. The animations and actions of the new Windows Mobile 6.5 interface are smooth and beautiful, and it’s even better with the Toshiba TG01, as the manufacturer has announced that all TG01s sold, from now on, will come with 6.5 pre-installed!

Windows Mobile 2.0 VS Android

This item was filled under [ Windows Mobile ]

need someone to help me with the comparison on WindowsMobile 2.0 VS Android. The comparison must be done in terms of advantages, disadvantages and so on. What do you think which one is better? What is different between both the platforms? I want to buy a phone, so what you you guys prefer and why? So, suggesta good one for me. All possible replies and suggestions are duly appreciated.

I cant see any use comparing between Windows Mobile 2.0 VS Android. I suggest you to have a glance at Windows mobile 6.5 or better because they have been improved to a great extent. I think you are having a very old information. I would always prefer Windows mobile 6.5 or better. If you go with 2.0, then you will get very much less features. I do not have positive views about Android.

It mainly depends on the users as to what to select between Windows Mobile 2.0 VS Android. I would like to mention some important points about the Android operating system. These mobile OS have developed a lot these days and hence, one can prefer to go with the same. It uses a changed version of the Linux kernel. Another point to be noted is that programmers can work with their JAVA codes with this OS.

Hello there, on searching for the users supporting between Windows Mobile 2.0 and Android, I found out that the users supporting the Android operating system was a very large number. So, I suggest you to go with Android platforms itself. There are no complaints too with it. It has been a surprise because it is in demand in the market in such very less time.
I wish you all the best…

The main advantage that Windows Mobile 2.0 has over Android platforms are that there are many applications available for this phone. Also, the users who are used to the interface of computers will find a great ease using such phones. Windows Mobiles also allows one to go about doing multitasking which is not available in the Android platforms. So, ultimately it is your decision as to which phone or platform to select.

There is a big competition between Windows Mobile VS Android in the market. Well, it depends on the users as to which phone to go with. I will not suggest anything because I like both the platforms. Infact, there is a tie between these 2 phones for which is the better one in the market. So, it is also tough to select the perfect one.

Track Calls and Sms on your Windows Mobile Phone

Spb Phone Suite Review

Spb Phone Suite is designed to enhance your PDA with new features, missing in the phone side of standard Microsoft Windows Mobile 5. Once installed, it’ll add phone profiles, missed call notifications, unread SMS notifications, call filtering, reject and reply with SMS, photo-dialing, photos in call log, automatic profile and these are just a few things to name!

To start with, you will discover a powerful Today plug-in where you can see the most frequently used options, such as photo-dialing (called “photo speed dials”), counters for missed calls and SMS messages, profile manager, call filtering mode switcher, and other phone related controls and indicators. You will see all important phone related data at one glance and access any option with just one tap. Fine, isn’t it? But let’s cut to the chase.

One of the best in Spb Phone Suite and “most wanted” in Windows Mobile functions is profiles. Phone profiles allow customization of ring, alarm tones and volumes (Normal, Silent, Loud), as well as the settings for Bluetooth, WiFi and backlight. As it is with any other option in Spb Phone Suite, profiles can be customized with just a tap or two. There are also automatic profiles that get triggered on some events automatically; this includes such profiles as Headset, Car, Meeting, and Cradle. Now you don’t have to worry about triggering the silent mode for scheduled meetings. You can also set a profile to activate for a certain time interval. If you’d like to make your own custom profile in addition to the default ones, the program provide you with this opportunity. Any profile can be changed in a couple of taps from the Today screen.

The photo-dialing option allows you to add a photo avatar to a contact in order to dial a contact with just one tap. To add an avatar, you need to go to the settings dialog or simply tap and hold on the dialer area. Spb Phone Suite lets you use 14 photo-dialing avatars on the Today plug-in. If there are no photos for a contact, you can choose a default avatar from the inbuilt collection.

Other interesting features include “Reject and Send SMS” option, which is useful when you are not able to answer an incoming call. You can drop it in three taps with an SMS message containing a predefined text. Besides, there is “Call Filtering” that will help you create whitelists (“pre-approved” contacts list) and blacklists. With this option in place, your PDA can accept all calls, accept all calls except those from the blacklist, accept only whitelist contacts, or ignore all. Isn’t it cool or what? What’s more, you can set up wildcards (masks) for numbers from blacklists and whitelists and an ability to change the filter from the Today screen.

If you think the above mentioned features are something your PDA is missing and wish you had them, then you are invited to download an evaluation copy of Spb Phone Suite. You can test it free of charge to see its possibilities and benefits. Download now!

Three phones that show off what Windows Mobile SHOULD be like

This item was filled under [ Windows Mobile ]

Windows Mobile is one of the key operating systems manufacturers look to when making their smartphones, but to get the best out of it, a phone needs two key ingredients: a big screen, and a fast processor. Let’s take a look at 3 phones that let it run to its full potential.

Sony Ericsson X1 – the premium choice

Released at the tail end of 2008, the Sony Ericsson X1 garnered rave reviews and fan support for its combination of a premium metal body, an exquisite, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a new front-end interface called ‘Panels’. Presented as a series of 9 separate panels on the screen of the Sony Ericsson X1, the user can then choose which home screen they want, whether it’s a Facebook screen, a standard WinMo interface, or one of a choice of finger-friendly front-ends available to Windows users. With a super-high resolution screen, and stunning colour reproduction, the Sony Ericsson X1 is viewed by many as one of the best Windows Mobile phones ever made, thanks also to its 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA internet speeds, and built-in GPS.

HTC Touch HD – the biggest screen in Christendom

However, it doesn’t have the biggest screen on a Windows Mobile phone. That honour goes to the sleek, and powerful HTC Touch HD. Nestling within a much slimmer body than the X1 (thanks to makers HTC eschewing a QWERTY keyboard), what you get instead is a 3.8 inch screen, that makes even the sometimes fiddly menu bars of WinMo easy to use. Not only that, but the HTC Touch HD includes one of the nicest virtual keyboards seen on any phone, and the interface is a particular standout feature, as it uses HTC’s patented TouchFLO 3D front end. As the name HTC Touch HD suggests, touch control is the order of the day, with gesture controls, sweeping finger motions and almost iPhone-esque (only better) app transitions giving the software as much appeal as the hardware on the HTC Touch HD (which, considering the phone includes a 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA and GPS, is no mean feat).

Toshiba TG01 – giving WinMo the power it deserves

The HTC Touch HD may currently have the biggest screen of any phone, but it won’t stay that way for much longer, because a new contender is due to be released soon with an even bigger screen: the Toshiba TG01. The point of this article is to show that Windows Mobile needs lots of power, and a big screen, to run to its full potential, and although the Touch HD and the Sony Ericsson X1 do have that factor, the Toshiba TG01 blitzes both of them. At 4.1 inches, the Toshiba TG01’s screen surpasses the HTC Touch HD, and thanks to its new ‘Snapdragon’ dual-core processor, it has VASTLY more power than either phone. If WinMo needs power and screen real estate to really shine, then without a doubt, the best home it’s found so far is the astounding Toshiba TG01.
